Rita Ambrosi

Rita Ambrosi is the kind of woman who makes you feel seen the moment she lifts her camera—and that’s no accident.

Her work isn’t about perfect poses or Pinterest aesthetics. It’s about the messy, honest, deeply human moments that often go unnoticed.

The in-between glances. The belly laughs. The way your kids look at you when they think you’re not paying attention.

She calls her work honest and soulful, and after hearing her story, you’ll understand exactly why.

Rita is also a proud member of the Virtual Village, our supportive space for CEO moms who are building businesses, raising babies, and creating lives full of meaning and momentum.

HER PIVOTAL MOMENT

“Is it okay to want more than just being a stay-at-home mom?”

That question was the quiet turning point, the moment Rita started redefining what motherhood and ambition could look like together. After years of living abroad, moving from country to country with her husband and three boys (now 13, 9, and 6), Rita had become an expert at creating comfort from scratch. Every move brought a new city, new language, new routines. And while the adventure was beautiful, it was also isolating. With no built-in village nearby, she was often the steady center in a world that kept shifting.

But in the middle of all that transition, something shifted inside her, too.

“I love my family with all my heart,” she shares, “but there’s also a part of me that wants to grow in other ways.”

And so she gave herself permission to want more—and to pursue it.

Capturing Connection, Building Legacy

Today, Rita runs a photography business that’s rooted in connection. She specializes in capturing the raw, real moments of family life—the kind of photos you’ll look back on and say, That was us.

But her magic doesn’t come from the gear she uses or the locations she picks. It comes from the trust she builds with the people in front of her lens.

“The best work comes when there’s vulnerability on both sides,” she says. “When we move from strangers to something more.”

And when she’s not behind the camera?

She’s living the life she wants her photos to reflect.

Present, grounded, and full of heart.

CEO + Mama: The Real-World Rhythm

Rita’s secret sauce? Simple routines, strong systems, and a whole lot of grace.

With all three boys now in school, she’s carved out clear “work hours” during the day and reserves evenings and weekends for family. Most sessions are booked on weekdays, letting her stay productive and present without burning out.

Her go-to tools include Google Calendar, Trello, and Pixieset for bookings and invoicing—nothing fancy, just what works. And while systems aren’t her favorite, she’s learned that staying organized is what gives her the space to show up fully in both roles.

Support is also non-negotiable. Whether it’s her husband tag-teaming the chaos, a sitter, or a friend stepping in when things get hectic, Rita’s learned the power of asking for help and receiving it with open hands.

And when things don’t go as planned (because #momlife), she rolls with it. “Some days just don’t line up, and that’s okay,” she says. “Flexibility and grace—that’s what makes this sustainable.”

The Legacy She’s Building

Through her lens, Rita isn’t just capturing moments—she’s modeling something powerful for her kids:

That you can chase your dreams and be present.
That your creativity matters.
That passion and parenting can coexist.

“I want them to know their mom is driven and creative. That she showed up—for them and for herself.”

We see you, Rita. And we’re so grateful you’re here.

about YOUR HOST

Hey, I’m mariah

BOY MAMA and MADE FOR MOTHERS CEo + FOUNDER

My claim to fame is burning my multi-six-figure marketing agency to the ground when my son was born in order to create the village I needed so badly as a CEO & mom.  I felt deeply alone, and I knew there was a better way! And guess what!? I figured it out, moms just need to be deeply rooted for, seen by, and surrounded by other moms!

If you're NEW to the Made for Mothers community, just know that his table is long and wide, there are plenty of seats, no cool girls, no gossip, no aggressive networking, no stressing if your babies can tag along... we're mothers first, and wildly ambitious entrepreneurs second AND you belong here!.
